I'm guessing spark of life is the ability Guy was referencing in the Great Immune Pain Thread of '07, and will remove undead immunities without changing the target creature's type.

Yep

Good, because undead are *Broken*

Spark of life sounds really cool, assuming that is what it does. Now, few undead are played anyway....so I'm not sure how much it matters. If anything, this makes it less likel we'll see undead played, if this figure starts to see play. More CG lovin!

Just thought I'd quote that.

The Cure spell makes this guy a bit better. The Wolf Form might be some sort of check box thing where the mini gets speed 10 and/or a Stun attack (on top of the rend could be naaasty....). Or it might suck if it isn't Swift.

I'm not sure if he's T1 yet, but +7 on saves helps the Dire Tiger & Bear, and isn't Countersong-able like the Warden's Fearless.

The extra damage is gravy.

You realize Animals are not Magical Beasts correct?

Note from what I got and what wed heard before, the +4 save works only on magical beasts, not animals. Now both could be wrong, but that would leave the tiger and bear out it

Haha yeah right. Undead needed a counter. My Strahd bands have been Crushing up here in NorCal... and with that Skeletal Courser coming out, Yikes.

That spell is a lot like the Neutralize Poison on the Virtuous Charger. I'll gladly pay 1-3 points less and just not have it.

I'm going to try it with a couple displacer beast manhunters as a fun thing, but I don't expect that to be tier 1 due to autodamage vulnerability.

Well, that is freaking lame! LAME! I guess by "Nature" they really mean "Magical Beast."

Much less impressed.

Still looks pretty cool - Maybe run him with Chimera & Blessed Hunter...

One of the few figs in this set I'm excited about.

I dunno, I see it still having a lot of uses. I'm picturing Pegasus Knight with a multi-Peg warband for S&Gs at least for some testing. Not to mention Dragonnes, Blessed Hunter, Displacer Beast Manhunter, Virtuous Charger and Arcadian Hippogriff.

Everybody was wanting the Blessed Hunter in CG with a commander... And now you have it, yet no one talks about it? :) I personally think these will be pretty decent when under the Heirophant. They will save at +12 or 15 on a MC and it sounds like the commander effect will stack with Rend +10, so hitting with both attacks (swinging at +14/+14, +16/+16 on charge) would do 40 damage without a charge. Charging, it would be 60 damage (if I recall correctly.)

Wolf Form (no info on what this does)

Wolf Form (Replace your 47 point commander with a 5 point Wolf)

well i guess Ian you can ressurect the my little poney warband. what would really help is knowing the exact wording of the abilities but as it is it looks promising.

That might even get my wife back playing.

Wolf Form is probably something like

Swift Action:
Lose Flight but increase Speed to 10 until end of turn.

Changing around anything more then 1 or 2 stats would take up way more space on the card and I hope Wizards got smarter after the LSC issue.

does the mini fly or is it per spell, i see flight listed in the SA but not in its spd

Man, while you take a bigger morale chance, the Virtuous Charger just got to kill outright a Bralani, Asura, Valiant Cavalry, Large Ice Elemental, previous Bodyguard, ....etc. even if they make their morale save after the first hit. Two hits morales most Titans now.

And that's likely not its best pairing. This will be a fun piece to experiment with. My Hippogriffs might get a little play now.
