Should have been an exercise in forcing them to fail morale, but alas, i didn't do it often
No-Rare night, (meaning not sanctioned) and i have Unhallowed figs ... muhahahaha
Duergar Slaver, Duergar Champion x5, Duergar Warrior x2
Matchup 1 (win): Adam - Cleric of Syreth, Githzerai Monk x2, Sacred Watcher x2, Maug, Eberk, fodder
Map: Mythral Mines (his win, his choice)
Side: A (his win, his choice)
I was dumb and split my forces to start, and he gunned for my small force. His dice were hot, mine weren't. Then at about round 3, my dice went hot and his went cold. I missed only one incorp, and he missed a lot of conceal. That pretty much sums it up. No use of my commander effect.
Matchup 2 (win): Eric - CG PORC (he was unprepared for no-rare)
Map: Drow Outpost (my win, my choice)
Side: B (my win, my choice)
I blocked off the bridge and did what the Champs do best. I had the invisible Slaver camped so that he covered most of the central bridge area, and there was a big mess of champion destruction. Not much use for CFX as his figs didn't have enough HP
Matchup 3 (loss): Eddie - Red Hand War Sorcerer, Bluespawn Stormlizard x4
Map: Drow Outpost {my win, my choice)
Side: A (his win, his choice)
I hate these guys. With this many of them, you can't easily avoid lines. I avoided the snowballs just fine. But when 3-4 champs can't hit a single lizard, things are going to go badly, horribly. And they did. I managed to start a comeback, but way too late in the game. I didn't get to use CFX cause of routing commander. When i lost all my figs, he still had 2 lizards and his sorcerer not yet morale checked.
Is it bad to have a 13 year-old nemesis?
2-1 with a strong themed band. It was great!
