Well, ever since i started writing these reports on my weekly game night results, i have found that it does two things:
1 - I think more about my matches after some time to chill and get a good idea of what i did good and bad.
2 - It gives me a place to track all the warbands i played, so i don't have to keep a crazy notebook like Derry.

This comes two weeks late, but i still wanted to note the game. Our epic night i was somewhat unprepared, so i simply doubled up on figures i keep in my 'kit': Forgepriest and Cadaver Collector. After showing up, i was told that i was playing somebody else's band from the month before, but i hadn't remembered seeing it, or i would have built another band.

Human Blackguard (ole reliable), FGF x2, Cadaver Collector x2, DHoD x2, Greenspawn Sneak for a whopping 494/8.

Matchup 1 (win): Will (kid) - Tordek, Dwarf Champion, Aspect of Moradin, Warpriest of Moradin, Dwarf Sniper, filler i can't recall, but i think he had a Maug
Map: Field of Ruin (my choice)
Side: A (my win, my choice)
I maneuvered the Giants to the central victory area to prepare to engage Tordek. In the meantime, my Cadavers took out the Aspect and his Maug (assuming he did have one). I kept a bodyguard with each pair of large figures until the time came when i needed a second to soak up Tordek hurt. I managed to break through the back and maneuver a flank on Tordek, so in the end, i had both giants and a cadaver left to beat on him when he failed morale w/o a commander.

Matchup 2 (win): Adam – Lord of Blades, Iron Golem, Warforged Barbarian x2, other ‘forged’, and a Timber Wolf just in case
Map: Field of Ruin (my choice)
Side: A (my win, my choice)
I honestly can't recall too much of this match, and will have to update if i do. The core of the battle took place in the central victory area. I maneuvered my collectors straight up into the middle and took turns pounding on him while I moved my giants around to flank, with a bodyguard to keep them standing. It was a tough slugfest, but by shuffling damage around on bodyguards and being very careful about movement, I was able to win the day.

Matchup 3 (win): Mike (Loyce) - Eldritch Giant, Horned Devil x2, Snig the Axe +3 Goblin Skirmisher, {Skeleton Warrior} x2, Dire Rat, Blackguard on Nightmare
Map: Tomb of Queen Peregrine (his choice)
Side: A (his win, my choice)
This match was going to be ugly for one of us, we just weren't sure which one. I went ahead and moved out, giving him a gap to dimension adjacent to the blackguard. He went for it, following up with bringing in both of his Devils on the other side to engage my giants. I made my first mistake of attacking with a cadaver *then* breathing with the other (which the giant failed). It then passed on the next round, however, but it kept him immobile a round. He was slowing dropping HP on a giant, while i was doing a good job of keeping the other 3 hitters up in HP. He won init rnd 3, and decimated the blackguard. I managed to paralyze the giant again after that, which spelt its doom with 3 hitters and two bodyguards within reach. He routed the first giant he started on, but it took two rounds to leave the board, which gave me the time to get up on points (he was collecting tile the entire time while i wasn't) with the giant kill and a devil. I then worked my way through the other devil and his commander (not in that order) ... chasing his devil down to take it out. all in all i was surprised with how soundly i took him down. Keeping in mind i paralyzed the giant twice ... but that giant that routed also failed 3 stun checks ... keeping him from doing anything useful the entire game ...
